Fax Service: I’m getting a new notebook, is the following spec good for me?
What i normally do with my computer are:

Surfing the net. yahoo Messenger. Downloading music and videos. Play on the net.
I run a lot of application at the same time (around 7-10), I run Itunes, Messenger, Mozilla Firefox, at the sametime.

well that’s all I do mostly…is the computer good enough for me?
i am not an avid gamer, and barely will watch videos in my notebook, will just do it in my ipod.

The specs:
Intel® Centrino? Duo Mobile Technology
Intel® Core? Duo T2050 (1.60GHz, 2Mb, 533MHz)
1.0Gb DDR2 SODIMM Memory
14.0in. WXGA Widescreen (1280×768)
Intel® GMA 950 – shared 128Mb VRAM
80Gb Hard Disk Drive
Type I/II PC Card Slot / PCMCIA
DVD-Recorder Combo Drive
16-bit Sound Blaster Pro-compatible stereo
10/100Mbps LAN Controller
Intel® Pro/Wireless 2200 802.11bg WLAN
56Kbps V.92 Fax Modem
VGA-out / S-Video TV-Out / Fire-Wire
2x USB 2.0 Ports / Card reader
Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition
Li-ION battery pack
Notebook Carrying Case
Harman Kardon speakers
Weight: 5.33lbs.

Upgrade the ram to 2GB and it’ll do just fine, plain and simple. Windows XP Home isn’t so much a memory hog as Vista is, so 1GB will be ok. But considering you lose 128MB to the Graphics chip plus the programs running in the background, you’ll be running low on free memory.
